AcademiqMaestro
Visit SiteThe UK's first platform unifying live expert tutoring with AI-powered exam prediction, built for students aged 6+ across UK and Australian curricula.

Project Overview
Academiq Maestro is the UK platform to unify live expert tutoring with AI-driven exam preparation under a single roof. Built for students aged 6+, the platform connects learners with DBS-checked subject specialists while an AI engine - trained on real UK and Australian exam board patterns - pinpoints knowledge gaps and predicts likely questions, delivering smarter revision, measurable confidence growth, and grades that follow.
Academiq Maestro came to us with a clear vision but a complex set of requirements that needed to be translated into a scalable, production-ready platform from the ground up. The brief was to build the UK's first platform to unify live expert tutoring and AI-powered exam revision under a single product, support a dual market across UK and Australian exam boards with AI trained on real syllabus and exam pattern data, cater to a wide age range (6+), and enable tutor discovery with filtering by subject, level, price, and availability - alongside verified reviews and free sample session previews.
We partnered with Academiq Maestro end-to-end - from architecture planning and design through to development, launch, and ongoing support. We architected the entire platform using Next.js on the frontend for a fast, SEO-friendly experience and NestJS on the backend for a structured, scalable API layer. A robust PostgreSQL schema handles complex relationships between students, tutors, sessions, subjects, progress records, and AI outputs. The Maestro AI Engine was built and trained on real UK and Australian exam board data, delivering question prediction, topic gap analysis, and personalised revision hints at the individual student level. We also implemented an end-to-end booking and video session flow, a multi-role authentication system with DBS verification workflows, session monitoring, and dedicated parent dashboards giving real-time visibility into session activity, academic progress, and confidence metrics alongside traditional performance data.
Post-launch, we continue to work closely with Academiq Maestro as their dedicated technical partner - handling bug fixes, performance monitoring, feature iterations, and infrastructure scaling as the platform grows across the UK and Australian markets. We are currently building a mobile application that generates AI-powered questions for each subject at every level.
